I used to live in the Midwest. Cows, snow, friendly people, snow, Great Lakes, snow, seasons, snow, Buckeyes, snow, the suburbs, and...did I mention snow? were what I knew. Last summer I moved to Austin. Now I know hot weather and Southern drawls.
I have a husband. I frequently refer to him as the Freakishly Tall Dutch Boy (FTDB). That's what he is. I adore him, but he's definitely an FTDB. I, on the other hand, am a Short sort-of-Irish Brunette (SSOIB). Together, we have a 5-year-old daughter, Lady, who is a BBL (that's a Bashful Black Lab to you ignoramuses). I teach elementary school special ed. That means I laugh and/or eat for most of the day.
Why start a blog? Cool people write blogs. Cool people write witty blogs. I want to be cool. I hope this blog thing helps.
